at Misericordia this afternoon. The Eagles never led on the afternoon as they fell 11-7 in the opener and 10-3 in the finale.

Mike Santello knocked in a pair of runs in the opener and Dan Wilson scored three times, but the host Cougars pounded out ten hits and eleven runs in the opener. Kenny Long pitched the entire game for the depleted Eastern staff. Misericordia scored four runs in the first and five more in the fourth to blow the game open.

Things did not get brighter in game two as the Eagles again fell behind early as the Cougars again put together a five run inning in the second. Davis Murray knocked in a pair of late runs, but the Eastern offense managed just six hits and never threatened for the lead. The Misericordia attack clicked for fifteen hits.

Eastern returns to action Tuesday back up the Northeast Extension with a single game against Marywood before finishing the PAC schedule with a weekend series against Wesley.
