After cruising to an 9-1 win in the first game behind an

one-hitter, the Eagles had to battle for the second game. Raychal Weis
held the Mighty Macs scoreless until giving up a single tally in the
seventh, and the Eastern offense was able to generate runs with the
small game and the big game to earn the sweep.
Alyssa Brubaker, who finished the day 4-7, created the first run of the
day, in the third. The sophomore shortstop singled to lead off,
advanced to second on an
Amanda Daveler sacrifice, stole third, and
then scored on a wild pitch.
Jacey Bray instantly doubled the Eagles advantage with one out in the
fifth on a home run. before the fifth ended
Karen Hertzog, who scored
three runs on the day, scored on a
Stephanie Okeson single. Brubaker
scored another insurance run in the sixth on a double by Bray.
The Eagles (3-6, 3-1) play their home opener tomorrow against Neumann College.
