win over Gwynedd-Mercy. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the game went the scheduled nine innings, and they were unable to hold their 3-0 lead through a rocky sixth inning and fell 9-5 at home. Sean Ciletti batted in three runners in the loss, and Kenny Long went 7+ innings allowing just three earned runs, but four unearned runs in the 8th gave the visiting Griffins the final margin.

The Eagles jumped out to the lead on a two-out two-RBI base hit from Cilleti in the first. The Eastern right fielder scored the third run of the game on an error. While the Eagles held that lead until the top of the sixth, they needed several sharp defensive plays to do so.

Davis Murray made a diving stop of a ball up the middle with runners on first and second to end a Gwynedd rally in the fifth. After drawing a pair of walks to start the inning, the Griffins, plated five runs in the top of the sixth to take the momentum and the lead.

Eastern battled back after Murray and third baseman Andrew Reynolds led of the bottom half with singles. Ciletti singled and Murray scored easily from second. John Montague sacrificed the runners to second and third. Reynolds scored on Dan Wilson's single, but the Eagles were unable to regain the lead.

After neither team scored in the seventh, the Griffins took advantage of a couple early walks and defensive miscues to score four runs. Kyle Reynolds, who closed the door on the Eagles in the sixth, picked up the win in relief for the Griffins.
