that the game would present a tough challenge for their young squad. The Eagles suffered through a tough first quarter and ultimately fell 15-1 to a very good Denison team at Washington and Jefferson College.

Denison, who were the hosts for the game, jumped to a 6-0 first period lead and never looked back as they were able to earn possessions through face-off wins and causing turnovers by the less-experienced Eastern squad. The Eagles, held without a shot for the first period, showed life in the remaining three sections of the game as they generated 23 shots for the game. Pat Dempsey scored the Eagles only goal on an assist from Kyle Dresser. Zach Rivest picked up 15 saves in the loss.

With 12 players playing in their first college game, the Eagles gained valuable experience against a deep and traditionally strong team. Coach Levis said of the game, "Andrew Minnick had a great game for us, and when we return to action closer to home he is going to influence games for us. Zach played well in goal and took care of the ball on clears."

The Eagles return to action in Florida with a game against Division II Notre Dame de Mur (CA) in Florida.
