Wyatt Warnick

Wyatt Warnick joins the 2017-2018 Eastern Track & Field coaching staff after a stellar throwing career at the United States Air Force Academy and Brigham Young University. A specialist in the javelin and shot put, Wyatt brings a significant amount of energy and talent to the throws coaching position.

While at BYU, Warnick was able to throw under former NCAA discus champion and Olympian Niklas Arrhenius. Under the tutelage of Arrhenius, Warnick placed as high as 5th in Mountain West Conference Championships in the men's javelin and was a two-time NCAA National West Preliminary Round qualifier. His personal best throw of 67.90m (222' 9 1/4") ranks 5th all-time on the BYU records list.

After graduating from BYU, Warnick began his coaching career as a volunteer javelin coach at his alma-meter Delta High School while simultaneously coaching club volleyball for Central Utah Elite.

Warnick is currently working through his MBA in Management at Eastern University in addition to his coaching responsibilities. At present, he oversees all facets of Eastern throws and helps coordinate thrower strength and conditioning programs.
