Blake Smith joined the Eastern staff for the 2016 season after being a four-year starter at the collegiate level. He was a two-year starter at Brescia University in Owensboro, KY at catcher and first base. He helped the Bearcats to a school record 35 wins his junior season, and was elected captain his senior season. Before Brescia, Blake was a two-year starter at Macomb Community College in Warren, MI at catcher. He helped the Monarchs to a runner-up finish the NJCAA regionals as a freshman and was elected team captain as a sophomore. He was also a two-time NJCAA Academic All-American.

Blake’s will primarily serve as the Eagles Recruiting Coordinator as well as the Catching Coach. He will also play an active role in the recruiting efforts, and assist in the day-to-day operations of the baseball program.

He is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership.
