Zack Trampe joins the Eastern University Wrestling staff as Coach Andrew Taylor's top assistant. Taylor officially announced the hire on his first day at Eastern.
Trampe served three years as top assistant for Coach Taylor at Delaware Valley University. At DVU, the duo built the Aggie roster and produced national qualifiers in both the men's and women's programs.
A Bucks County native, Trampe excelled as a high school wrestler at Council Rock South where he won a AAA State Title in 2017 and placed at the State meet two other times. He was twice named Bucks County Wrestler of the Year and was ranked as high as seventh nationally at 132 pounds.
He qualified for the NCAA Division I Championships in both his full seasons at Binghamton and finished with a 35-15 overall record in a COVID-shortened career.
Trampe’s credentials on the mat cannot be questioned. Taylor, however, identified a shared vision for investing in the lives of student-athletes as the most critical element in keeping Trampe with him on his staff.
Trampe will be heavily involved in recruiting and all other elements of program-development in preparation for the first season of competition in the '25-'26 academic year.
