Sean Douglas joined the Eastern Athletic Communications staff as Assistant Sports Information Director in 2021.

After graduating with a Bachelors of Music Education and Vocal Performance from Slippery Rock University in 2013 and a Masters of Music from Houghton College in 2015, Douglas made a career change in 2016. He followed his passion for sports to a career in sports journalism. He moved to Indiana in 2017. There he served as the Sports Editor for The News Herald, Grant County’s weekly newspaper. He covered high school and collegiate athletics in the area for nearly four years.

Over his final two years in the Hoosier State, Douglas served as an Assistant SID at Taylor University in Upland. In that role, he primarily covered men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, and softball.

Douglas is glad to be back in his home area of Southeast Pennsylvania. In his free time, Douglas enjoys hanging out with his orange tabby, Foles. He is a diehard Philadelphia sports fan.

At Eastern, he will serve as the primary contact for Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Golf, Women's Basketball, and Baseball and Softball. In addition to his work on those sports, he will be involved in creating content for social media, live-stream logistics, and producing video board material. Douglas regularly performs the National Anthem at Eastern events.
