Eastern University Athletics

In August of 2026, Samantha David was hired to lead Eastern University Cross Country. She will also serve as a top assistant on the Track & Field staff with a primary emphasis on leading distance athletes. 

David comes to Eastern from the University of Valley Forge where she served in a similar role. Under her leadership, both the men's and women's programs grew in numbers and competitiveness in the conference. 

This past May, she was part of the 56th class of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy in Denver, and she looks forward to combining the knowledge gained from her experience with the insights she picked up from other great coaches as she leads the Eastern program.
