Luke Meehan enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the Eastern University Baseball program, where he works primarily with the Eagles’ corner infielders and outfielders while pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science.
A former standout student-athlete at Eastern, Meehan graduated in the spring of 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. During his playing career, he was a three-year starter at first base and in the outfield, earning multiple All-Conference honors as both a first baseman and utility player. His individual accolades include 2025 Second Team All-Region honors in the outfield and a 2026 ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Gold Glove Award at first base, recognizing him as one of the top defensive first basemen in the region.
In addition to his collegiate experience, Meehan has served as an assistant coach for South Parkland Senior Legion since 2023. Over four summers with the program, he helped guide the team to three regional appearances while playing an integral role in player development and game preparation.
As a former Eagle, Meehan brings a unique perspective and deep understanding of Eastern University’s culture and expectations. His passion for player development, defensive instruction, and mentoring student-athletes makes him a valuable addition to the coaching staff as he helps continue the program’s success.
