Casey Williams joins Eastern University Athletics as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach after gaining experience as both a professional athlete and performance coach.

Williams most recently completed a strength and conditioning internship with Rutgers University Football. There he assisted with the daily implementation of Division I training sessions, coached athletes through lifts, supported return-to-play modifications, and helped track one-repetition maximums to inform programming decisions.

A Philadelphia native, Williams played collegiately at Temple University before finishing his career at Stony Brook University, where he was a defensive lineman and team captain. Across his Stony Brook career, he recorded 135 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. Following his collegiate career, Williams signed his first professional contract with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League and later spent time with the Toronto Argonauts.

Williams brings extensive experience training and mentoring young athletes in the Philadelphia area. He has served with Focused Athletics, a nonprofit organization that provides middle school, high school, and collegiate athletes access to training, tutoring, meals, transportation, and mentorship. He has also operated Fully Focused Fitness and Performance Training, developing individualized training plans and supporting athletes’ growth beyond the weight room.

Williams earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Stony Brook University, with minors in Africana Studies and Health and Wellness. He is pursuing a Master’s in Counseling at Eastern.
