Stephen Haberman joins the Athletic Department to lead Eastern's fledgling Esports program.
A life-long gamer, Haberman came to Eastern originally as a System Administrator and platform trainer for the Target X admissions program. He worked in the gaming industry as a freelance journalist, tournament director,a nd Livestreamer. In his work as a journalist, he wrote reviews of games and strategies for a variety of platforms.
He is enthusiastic about the potential for Eastern Esports to become an exciting part of the University and will be instrumental in the development of the new facility. He has raised over $12,000 for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia through competing in the Extra Life Charity Gaming Marathon.
He graduated from Elizabethtown College and is currently pursuing an MBA at Eastern. In addition to his passion for video games, he is ranked nationally and worldwide in pinball.
He lives in Collegeville with his wife and daughter.
