Eastern Athletics Welcomes Ross Weyandt Back

ST. DAVIDS, Pa.— Eastern University Director of Athletics Brian Bingaman announced to his staff that Ross Weyandt has rejoined the Eastern staff as the Assistant Athletic Director of High Performance & External Operations. Weyandt, who served in several roles with the Eastern Strength Staff from 2020-2024, returns after leading the Strength program at the University of Mount Union and serving in a similar role at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia.

"We are thrilled to welcome Ross back to Eastern," Bingaman said. "He is passionate about developing performance and has a track record of success with our student-athletes. In addition to his leadership role in strength and conditioning, Ross will be involved in our day to day operations for games, and several other key projects. I am grateful for what he will bring to support our growing department."

In his first stint at Eastern, Weyandt started as a graduate assistant before moving into full time role that included leading the strength program for Eastern Football.

In his year at Mount Union, the Purple Raiders advanced to the Stagg Bowl in Football.

"Eastern helped shape me both personally and professionally," Weyandt said. "I come back to an athletics department that has grown in size and success, and I'm eager to apply the experience and perspective I've gained during my time away to help drive continued progress. I look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and building new relationships across campus. My goal is to build upon Eastern's foundation of Faith, Reason, and Justice to create a holistic student-athlete experience that develops robust athletes and high-character individuals prepared for success beyond sport."
