Eastern Overwatch Sweeps Champlain For First Win

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - Eastern Overwatch recorded its first victory of the season on Thursday evening, defeating Champlain College by a 3-0 score.

The Eagles came out strong on the first map of the series, controlling play throughout the entirety of the match. While Champlain did put up a strong opposition, the Eagles' relentless aggression led to a victory.

The second match took place on Blizzard World, a hybrid map where teams are required to take an objective and then push another objective to the finish line. The Eagles pressed their attack early, quickly pushing through Champlain's defense and taking all three objectives with over four minutes to spare. Defensively, after allowing the first objective to be taken, the Eagles were able to rally, holding Champlain off the rest of the way.

On the third and final map, Havana, the Eagles used the high ground and space the map affords to their advantage. In the most competitive map of the series, Champlain battled relentlessly, but Eastern were able to etch out a close victory, securing their first win of the fall.

Eastern Overwatch will be back in action against Clark University next Thursday.
