ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - In it fifth match of the season on Thursday, Eastern Overwatch battled valiantly in a closely contested 2-1 loss to Cumberland University.
The Eagles were competitive on all three maps, but were unable to overcome a few small, but costly mistakes in their play.
"They put up quite a performance. Every map was extremely close," Eastern Esports Head Coach Joshua Franklin said. "Unfortunately, some minor errors were well capitalized on from the side of Cumberland and we fell just short of taking the series win."
Eastern Overwatch will be back in action next Thursday against Clark University.
