With a dozen new players on the roster, Eastern University Women's Basketball will bring its new look to the floor starting at Lancaster Bible College on Saturday.
The new Eagles will provide size and depth to a roster that scuffled to just two wins last season. Senior guard
Jeriyah Johnson scored nearly 17 points per game and earned All-MAC Commonwealth honors last year, but the Eagles shot only 29 percent from the floor and were out-rebounded in 20-of-25 games.
Johnson and fellow senior
Damiyae Moyet combined for 103 made 3-points last year. The duo enjoyed a very successful season in Flag Football last spring and look to bring that same confidence to the hardwood.
Head Coach
Sarah Fowler is pleased with the energy that the new players are bringing to the floor and looks forward to seeing them adjust to the college game.
After doing a tour through the top of the Centennial Conference in the non-league schedule last year, the Eagles will see a more diverse schedule in '25-'26. The Eagles will still play Muhlenberg, McDaniel, and Susquehanna, but they will start the season with road tests at LBC and Penn State Berks and a tournament at Roanoke before their home opener against Muhlenberg on Nov. 20.
