Terri Heim Johnston '84 was the first to be introduced in the class of 2011.
The Lebanon, Pa. native was a three sport athlete whose name is still in Eastern's record books for field hockey and basketball. Though she played prior to the three-point era and the introduction of the women's ball, the 5 foot guard surpassed the 1000 point mark while shooting 63% for her career. That percentage would rank near the top of Division III annually that she was able to achieve that level of accuracy for her career iseven more exceptional.
In field hockey, she graduated as the program's career leader in points, and she remained tied at the top of the career list with Danielle Prescott Shedaker at the time of her induction. She scored 59 goals and registered 37 assists. Eastern won an NCCAA National Championship in 1983. Current Eastern Field Hockey Coach Camrin Azzarano attributed the modern success of Eastern's Field Hockey program to the groundwork laid by Heim Johnston and others in the 1980's.
At the time of her induction she worked as a teacher and coach in Lebanon.
