Janelle Fair Heying '13 becomes the third softball player inducted into Eastern's Hall of Honor. A true two-way star, Fair dominated in the circle and at the plate. She threw nearly 600 innings in her four-year career and still holds the all-time strikeout and single-season strikeout marks for Eastern Softball. She was the 2012 Freedom Conference Pitcher of the Year.

Her 492 strikeouts is nearly double the program record. She picked up the win in the circle 44 times over her career. To give her team the best chance to win, she would often pitch in both games of doubleheaders.

As impressive as she was in the circle, Fair was equally accomplished at the plate. She hit .417 with an OPS over 1.200 in a senior season where she knocked in 34 runs with nine home runs and 45 total hits. Her 155 career hits is second all-time behind fellow Hall of Honor inductee Ashlee Keyser. She finished her career with a .375 batting average and 96 runs scored.

The 2012 Eagles achieved what was then a program-record 22 wins in 2012 as Fair won 15 games in the circle and recorded a single-season record 52 hits.
