Eastern University Athletics

Buchanan was an outstanding catcher for the Eagles. A two-time captain and All-Conference performer, Buchanan played a key role in leading the Eastern Baseball program into competitiveness with many of the best programs in the area. Buchanan continued his baseball career with Kansas City Royals organization.

Buchanan, who came to Eastern from Springfield High School, was introduced by Gary Rothrock, a friend and former teammate.
