Gameday Statistics or Video Production

The Athletic Department has immediate openings in Sports Information. We are interested in hiring 4-5 FWS students that are passionate about sports and are looking to gain experience using communication skills. Opportunities may include keeping official stats at games, assisting with game-day programs, producing or editing video content, and broadcasting home games on our web streaming platform. Most hours would be Tues., Wed., and Fri. afternoons/evenings, as well as Saturday afternoons. Communication or related major preferred, but not required. Gameday Event Staff

The Athletics Department is looking for approximately 20 – 30 FWS students to work event staff positions for athletic events. Applicants must be able to perform responsibilities associated with 4 main job functions- Set Up, Breakdown, Game Operations, & Concessions. Event Staff provide operational functions before, during, and after events. Event Staff assist with field and site set-up and take down, scoring, and other roles. Event Staff interact directly with teams, coaches, spectators, and officials during the event. Game operations responsibilities in-clude, scoreboard operator, penalty timekeeper, announcer, ball runner etc. Concessions entails providing customer service to patrons of the events and ensuring that food service is provided in a safe, cleanly and effective manner. Applicant should have the ability to work in vary-ing climates (indoor or outdoor), lift up to 25 lbs., work weekends, remain composed in pressure situations, and a completed application. Office Assistant

The Athletics Office is looking for five students to give general office assistance during the hours of 9am-5pm. This position would include making Xerox copies, filing copies, walking important papers to various offices on campus and giving hands on assistance to Varsity coaches and student athletes. Intramural Referees

The Athletics Department is looking for Referees for Intramural Sports. The Referee positions report to both the Intramural Sports Coordina-tor and their individual Sport Coordinator. Job responsibilities include game set up and breakdown, refereeing their assigned games, filling out score sheets and enforcing the rules of the game and sportsmanship. Referees must have a thorough knowledge of sport rules and under-stand and enforce all rules that have been adapted by the Intramural Sport Coordinator. Sports include: Coed Volleyball, Coed Indoor Soccer, Coed Dodgeball, and Coed Flag Football (Fall); Coed Volleyball, Coed Indoor Soccer, Coed Floor Hockey, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Coed Basketball (Winter/Spring). The Athletics Department is looking for a FWS student to be Sport Coordinator for Intramural Sports. The Sport Coordinator position reports directly to the Intramural Sports Coordinator. Job responsibilities include score reporting, assigning referees, assigning score table attendants, coordinate and supervise the set up and breakdown of games. In addition, the Sport Coordinator must be present at all of their particular sport’s game nights. Other duties may be assigned by the Intramural Sports Coordinator as needed for each particular sport.
